War in Amhara : 16 Civilians killed by a new wave of drone attack

The drone attack took place in the Amhara region of eastern Gojjam zone, Siso Enesse Woreda, Enagesh Kebele, on February 20, 2025.

A video released on X confirmed the attack as civilians body lied on the ground.

The BBC reported the drone was raided in the market place (shops and tea houses).

The victims of the attack were children playing on the street, market vendors and people drinking tea. During the attack, no Fano forces presence reported at sight.

An eight-year-old first grade student named Mulugeta Belete was killed while playing in front of the shop, his mother told the BBC.

A 15-year-old named Tadesse Getachew was killed and a six-year-old child was seriously injured and died. 

According to BBC sources Twelve civilians that were injured by the attack taken to the local health centre. on their arrival two of them died and ten of them sent to their home as the clinic got no more resources for medication.

In the ongoing war in the Amhara region of Ethiopia, civilians continued suffer from the irresponsible act of Abiy Ahmed forces (Ethiopian national defence force (ENDF)). The international community must act to stop the suffering of civilians.
